In case you missed it: NUS was ranked Asia’s top university (again)

You probably had nothing to do with it, but still.

The 2017 Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings, released about a week and a half ago (16 March), ranked the National University of Singapore (NUS) as the top university in Asia. This year’s edition saw 300 universities in 24 Asian countries being ranked, and this is the second consecutive year that NUS came out on top in the list.

NUS was followed by Peking University, Tsinghua University and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in second, third and fourth positions, respectively.

The THE Asia University Rankings started in 2013, and in the first three years following their introduction, the University of Tokyo held onto the top position, with NUS in second place.

According to the THE website, the rankings of universities are based on criteria involving core missions – teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook. This ensures that comparisons made between universities are as comprehensive and balanced as possible.

Now, if only we could include this in our CVs.
