Someone actually took an Uber from Sheares Hall to The Deck
How far is too far?
We’ve all had moments in our lives where we’ve hit rock-bottom, and have done things that we shouldn’t be proud of. We pray no one ever finds out about them, and we will take these secrets with us to the grave. Here at The Bullet, we see it as part of our duty to enlighten NUS students on the vices that plague our university, even if it means revealing some of the objectionable things that our students have done. Forget alcoholism and chain-smoking, this article deals with one of the 7 deadly sins:
Sloth.
On the 23rd of March, a 4th year FASS student partook in the disgusting act of taking an Uber from Sheares Hall (possibly where he currently resides) to the Arts faculty’s canteen, The Deck.
Based on our own measurements using Google Maps, we estimated that the Uber would have travelled less than 650m for the trip. We did not reach the Uber driver, “T” (picture and name censored for privacy) for his statement, but we’re pretty sure that if we did, he would have expressed repulsion at the request of heading to a destination literally less than a minute’s drive away.
Whether the student was headed to The Deck for its $2.30 Bak Chor Mee, or its inexplicably popular Yong Tau Foo (the queue for which is probably longer than the Uber ride itself), we know not, but one thing is for sure - this is a new low for NUS.
Has this student gone too far, or does this remind you of yourself? Let us know! And if you’ve got any other embarrassing stories from on campus, be sure to submit a story to thebulletcampus@gmail.com for us to cover it.
